Hello! I’m a freelance illustrator based in London.

Originally from Stafford, I studied illustration at University College Falmouth in Cornwall, and since graduating in 2009 I have created illustrations for clients including The Van Gogh Museum, Smithsonian Magazine and Gentleman’s Journal.

In 2014 I collaborated with WeAdmire on t-shirt designs for a season of films at the Barbican and in 2015 my record cover designs were included in the Secret 7″ exhibition at Somerset House. In 2016, my illustrations for Smithsonian Magazine won in the editorial category of Communication Arts Magazine’s 57th Annual Illustration Competition.

I am always interested to hear of commissions, ideas or creative opportunities…

I take photographs with a harinezumi camera: https://flic.kr/s/aHskE52BvE

Materials and process: I draw with a mapping pen, rapidograph, Pentel brush pen and mechanical pencil. I paint with watercolours, gouache and ink. I sometimes use monoprint techniques.

I usually scan my illustrations and edit or assemble them in Photoshop.

I buy my materials from Cass Arts (for watercolours, inks and paper), Cult Pens (pens and ink cartridges) and J & T’s Calligraphy (for mapping pens and nibs)
